Immigration law

Following, there is a list of the basic U.S. immigration laws.  This list is not an exhaustive list.  There are other laws, decrees, and regulations applicable to immigration and naturalization cases.   Additionally, previous binding decisions from the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Federal Courts, and Immigration Courts may have binding effect on certain immigration and naturalization cases. 

 

 

The Immigration and Nationality Act (INA)

 

This is the U.S. immigration legal framework.  It was enacted in 1952, and has been amended several times.
